conclusion


A general picture of 30 kinds of instant noodles for my experiment, edited by Photoshop



Time has elapsed so fast, and it’s the time to say good-bye for my 30-day experiment. Yesterday, June 2 2010 is my last day for my experiment, but when I recall the past 30 days, I always have a feeling like the beginning of my experiment.
My purpose is as clear as the blog title that I want to change the mind of instant noodles that most people think instant noodles is a kind of harmful food. I want to tell people that instant noodles can be healthy food and prove it to people especially my mum, who thinks that eating instant noodles can lead to cancer, via my practical experiment. I remember the first week of my experiment that I felt it’s easy to handle, but I felt scared later. It is not because I am bored by eating instant noodles, but I feared that I can’t find 30 kinds of instant noodles. However, finally, I found that it’s unnecessary for my worrying, actually there’re various kinds of instant noodles.
Before my experiment, I was the person who didn’t care about the nutrition fact of the food or drink I had, and I just cared about whether it tasted good or not. Since I run my experiment, I start to consider how much calories, fat and other part of nutrition I absorbed or may absorb. When I am wandering in the supermarket, I spontaneously glance at the nutrition fact at the back of the food or drink I pick up. The nutrition fact becomes a part of my judgment on buying food. Also, I found a big mistake I did and I only knew a little about fats in the past. I misunderstood the different types of Fats that I thought trans fat is as same as unsaturated fat. Now I know more that there are three major kinds of fats including saturated fats, trans fats and unsaturated fats when I was finding source for my blog. We should avoid Saturated fats as much as possible because they are bad that would raise total and LDL (bad) cholesterol levels. Trans fats are actually unsaturated fats but have a little different that they can raise total and LDL(bad) cholesterol levels while also lowering HDL(good) cholesterol levels. Unsaturated fats can divide into two categories of monounsaturated fats which can actually lower LDL(bad) cholesterol and maintain HDL(good) cholesterol, and polyunsaturated fats which can lower LDL(bad) cholesterol but also can lower HDL(good) cholesterol when too much of them. I found that saturated fat and trans fat are usually related to Total fat part and noticed on the nutrition facts of different kind of instant noodles with other parts such as Calories, Cholesterol, Total Carbohydrate including Dietary Fiber and Sugars, Protein, Vitamins such as A and C, and Minerals such as Sodium, Calcium and Iron. And I found that the most considerable parts of nutrition fact of instant noodles are its amount of calories from fat, cholesterol and sodium because they are usually reaching high level. After the experiment, I know more about the history and information of instant noodles. For example, I know more about Ando, the father of instant noodles and how he creating the instant noodles industry. Also, I found some interesting thing such as The Instant Ramen Museum where people can handmake their own cup noodles and design the cup.
By the experiment, I learnt what the best way for cooking a bowl of delicious instant noodles is to mix the cooked instant noodles and boiling water with uncooked seasonings. Also, I can feel how convenient and how cheap instant noodles is since it save quite much of time to cook and spent not more than $20 USD for my 30 meals. To run this experiment, I spent total $17.22 USD to buy these 30 kinds of different instant noodles including bag instant noodles, bowl noodles and cup noodles from different countries such as America, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Moreover, I think the Nissin brand instant noodles are well developed in America, Japan and Hong Kong, but there are differences among their packaging and tastes. Nissin is the most brands appeared in my experiment that it occupied fourteen-thirtieths of instant noodles I tried for 30 days. However, the amount of calories, fat and sodium of Nissin brand are the highest one. For consideration three parts of taste, price and health which used for evaluating instant noodles, I prefer the Unif TUNG-I Instant Bean Vermicelli Chinese Spices Tong Tsai Flavor (Bean Thread) is the best one because it’s worthy, tasty and healthy. However, for the same brand, Unif TUNG-I Instant Spicy Beef Flavor Noodles is the worst one because it tastes disgusting even its nutrition fact is acceptable.
For the last 30 days, I found out some ideas of people that why they think instant noodles are harmful for health just like my mum thinks instant noodles can lead to cancer. And I proved their thoughts are wrong by doing research and running my practical experiment. For instance, Styrofoam used for packaging of instant noodles is the ringleader of cancer but not the instant noodles itself. The actual material on the surface of the instant noodles is palm oil, but some people misunderstand it for a layer of wax. Since that, I realize that in the society, there are so many people have biases on the artificial food which are harmful for health and cause cancer. However, these people just hear and believe slanders from others but they never try to probe for whether it is true or not. Actually, Instant noodles can be healthy food too. The first real experiment in my college life became my valuable memory, and I am still enjoying the pleasure it gave me, and I’ve learnt a lot from the experiment. After consuming 30-day instant noodles, I can tell my mum, your daughter, I am still clever, healthy and alive!

Today...
Time passes so fast, and today is the last day for my experiment. Although the experiemtn is going to end, I think I will continue to eat instant noodles in my later life because it is very convenient for busy and maybe "lazy" people such as me. After holiday, I have got a relax charge. Today, I woke up early and made a Paldo Bowl Noodle soup Chicken Flavor which is made in Korea for my breakfast.

For taste, It's very appetizing. The noodle soup is a little bit spicy and sour, and it smells very good. The noodles is not so smooth but elastic. I like the vegetable bag including dried smashed carrots, dried cabbage and dried green onion. For Price, it would be said tquite expensive for $.79, and its package size is normal. However, I think I would feel full after had one, and I want to have one more. No matter since its noodles size is small, or its taste. For health, to compare with other bowl noodles and instant noodles, other instant bowl noodles or instant cup noodles such as Nissin brand cup noodles, they may be failed controlling not only the amount of sodium but also a little bit cholesterol. However for this kind of bowl noodles, it don't contain any amount of cholesterol, and its content of sodium is well-controlled for just 716mg that is lower than the amount of sodium of other pack size instant noodles.

Today...
Today is the only one holiday in this spring quarter. I don't know what date is today for which holiday. Just Ignore it, no one cares about it. Today, I made a bag of MAMA Oriental Style Instant Noodles Kimchi Flavor which is made in Thailand for my dinner. I also added some cabbage and some squid on the topping. It may be not so clear in the picture, and the light green is cabbage and the purple for squid. It's trouble but funny that it spent me one day for prepare the squid because there is endless ink from it, and finally I give up and just put it in the cookware to set free the ink. Maybe there is a little bit ink left in my bowl. That's why the squid looks purple in my bowl.

This kind of instant noodles tastes not bad, but it may be wrong for me that I put the squid in it since the squid polluted the noodle soup. Even though it says it's Kimchi flavor, I didn't taste any about kimchi flavor from it. However, I like its noodles because it's think and elastic. For price, it's more expensive than other Nissin brand instant noodles and its noodle size is smaller than the ones of Nissin brand instant noodles, but I think the noodles is normal and suitable for me. For health, its amount of cholesterol is 0mg, and it's acceptable for its amount of calories and fat. Although the soup is thick, its daily value for sodium is average.

This weekend, I tried two more Nissin brand 出前一丁 instant noodles. For Saturday, I had Nissin 出前一丁 Ramen Noodle with Soup Base Curry Flavor for my dinner. I didn't put any other ingredients with it. For Sunday, I had Nissin 出前一丁 Ramen Noodle with Soup Base Spicy Seafood Flavor for my lunch, and I added some Chinese White Cabbage on the topping.

For price, they are same for $.59, and the size of the noodles is quite big. To compare with these two kinds of instant noodles, I like the second one better. Although the first one is curry flavor, I didn't taste any curry flavor for it. For the second one, it is delicious and not so spicy, and I didn't remain any soup in the plate. To conclude both of them, they are ichiban too! For health, They are both high calories and high fat, and also their content of sodium is badly high, and I recommend people don't eat more than one bag of these kinds of instant noodles per day.

A: Since Hong Kong people are more fussier, so the amount of flavors and styles are the champion of Asia. There are total 21 kinds of flavor, including sesame oil flavor, beef flavor, chicken flavor, Shoyu flavor, roast beef flavor and so on.

Q: Is it real that someone said it will change to harmful chemicals if heating the condiment to 100 Celsius Degree?
A: Hong Kong Nissin company explained that it's wrong, but as the recommendation from the packaging, it's better for people put the soup powder after out of fire because it tastes better.

Q: There is a rumour that there is a layer of wax on the surface of the instant noodles, is it ture?
A: Hong Kong Nissin company explained that the layer material on the surface of the instant noodles is a layer of palm oil in order to lump the noodles into a piece.

Q: who is the little boy on the packaging of 出前一丁?
A: He is called "清仔", named for Nissin logo since 1966, and the cartoon "清仔's family" came in 1993. The cartoon is talking about 清仔's father inherits heirloom for making sesame oil hand-pulled noodles and he opened a "出前一丁" noodle restuarant, and 清仔 delivers to-go. There are also his mother and his sister in the cartoon.

Cheer up Friday! Today is my holiday. Even though it's busy for project, I give myself a break. However, it is not a break for my experiment, I enjoy it! Tonight, I ate a bowl noodles for my dinner. It's made in Vietnam called KUNG-FU Instant Noodles Vegetarian Flavor. I would say it is not my cup of tea because I don't appreciate with it very much. How can a Buddhist monk or vegetarian eat so plain without meat? Yes, they can, but i can't. I can't live without eating any meat. The life become so plain if I imagine I can't eat fried chicken wings!

I would say I don't like it mostly even its price is cheap. I just think what is wrong when I am eating the noodles. And I find the reason why I don't like it when I take a look of its cover. What the hell, it contains celery flavor in its sauce power. Celery in one kind of disgusting food in my food list since I was young. For health, I think it's not so healthy even it's vegetarian flavor. Its calories part and its fat part even higher than other kind of non-vegetarian style instant noodles. There is only one thing I admire is, it contain some "dried meat" (the small spheroid as you can see in the photo) with dried carrots and dried corianders inside the condiment. Actually, the "dried meat" is soya protein, it is not real meat. I think it is a good invention since it can help a new vegetarian to adapt to the life of not eating meat products.

Vegetarian meats are mock meats. They are made to look as if they are made from meat products but in the real sense they are not. This is to help a new vegetarian to adapt to the life of not eating meat products. The meals will taste like it has these products but they are not there. Vegetarian meats are for those people who have a problem with doing away with the meat products. These are people who all of a sudden have to do away with not eating meat products. This can be because of sudden change of religion or health complications.

Today, I made a Nissin Cup Noodles with Shrimp for my breakfast. Since I woke up late, I just brought it to school and made it in the cafeteria. This one is the forth one I have tried in Nissin Cup Noodles in original series, and it is also the last one. Actually, I bought this with other flavor of Nissin Cup Noodles such as chicken flavor, beef flavor and Shrimp Picante style with I tried in the experiment together. However, I tried this one after other three since I don't like plain shrimp flavor instant noodles. You can find that this one is the first one which is plain shrimp flavor in my experiment.

This time I cooked it in microwave, but I think I poured too much boiled into the cup. So, the soup tastes a little slight. For the price, it costs only $.33. It's very cheap, but I think I will feel hungry very soon. For health, its amount of calories and fat may excess some other bag size of instant noodles. It contains some amount of cholesterol. Also, the content of iron excess the standard for daily value. For common absorption, we should not absorb more than 18% of iron for daily value.

As I mentioned in the previous blog about The Instant Ramen Museum in Osaka, Japan, I found more information and some pictures inside the museum.
On August 25, 1958, Momofuku Ando invented the world's first instant noodle product, "Chicken Ramen" after hours of research using common tools in a small shack which he had constructed in the backyard of his house in Ikeda. "The Momofuke Ando Instant Ramen Museum" conveys the importance of inventin and discovery through the history of instant noodles, which have become a new food culture.
There are some picture about the museum which I found from the online forum.
Here is Instant Noodles Tunnel. Various types of the major Nissin products over the years are displyed in a large volume. The display is in the shape of a half-tunnel, and the products soar up above your head. The develpment of instant noodles is expressed systemicallt through the history of the products.

This is the vending machine. As I mentioned before, people can make their own original cup noodles in the Handmade Chicken Ramen Hands-On Workshop in the museum. People first need to purchase a cup from the vending machine and then wash their hands.

Here just like the place people have buffet that there are some many food for people to choose. People can choose the soup flavor and the ingredients for their own cup noodles.


People can design their own cup, they can draw any thing on the cup.

Today...
Today, I cooked a bag of Nissin "出前一丁" Ramen Noodle with Soup Base Satay Style which is made in Hong Kong for my breakfast. I also added some cabbage and some spareribs with bean sauce which I cooked on last weekend on the topping. I think there is a good way for cooking instant noodles that it's a way for treasuring food and protecting the environment. Sometimes, it's trouble to deal with leftover, and we need use wrap to keep the rest of the food in the refrigerator. However, you can put the leftover of your meal into the noodles when you want to cook instant noodles. That you can save electricity, and you won't waste the food, and you can protect the environment since you don't need to use the wrap, and it also you enrich your instant noodles.

Since I put some spareribs and cabbage with the noodles, it taste better. I like the smell of satay soup. For the price, it's very worth it as same as other Nissin instant noodles which I tried in my experiment. Actually, I think the size of this kind of instant noodles can serve for two people if they are girls. For health, as what I said for the sesame-oil-flavored one which I tried yesterday is the highest amount of calories and fat in my experiemt, and however, this one's amount of calories and fat is higher than the sesame-oil-flavored one. It's extremely high! Its amount of sodium is acceptabe, but I recommend people don't eat more than two bags of this kind instant noodles. Well, this is only one way for me to burn so much fat I absorbed, just exercise more!

Since I tried the "Satay Style", I want to talk something about satay...
-Satay or sate is a dish consisting of diced or siced chicken, goat, mutton, beef, pork, fish, tofu, or other meats; the more authentic version uses skewers from the midrib of the coconut leaf, although bamboo skewers are often used. These are grilled or barbecued over a wood or charcoal fire, then served with varius spicy seasonings.
-Satay originated in Java, Indonesia. It's also popular in many other Southeast Asian countries, such as Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
-Satay may be served with a spicy peanut sauce dip, or peanut gravy, slivers of onions and cucumbers, and ketupat (rice cakes).

Today...
Today, I made a bag of Nissin "出前一丁" Ramen Noodle with Soup Base & Sesame Oil for my breakfast. I added some cabbage and two sausages on the topping. I made it differently from other instant noodles I have made before. I put the seasonings into the plate, and then poured the instant noodles which was cooked and the boiled water that both in the cookware into the plate. What I meant is I didn't cooked the noodles with seasoning into the cookware together. I learnt this method from my Dad which he said it's the best way that the noodles would keep in an elastic state. I would like to say, "Yes, he's right." Also, I found that it tastes better if you put the sesame oil the topping of the noodles finally after the steps I said above. The smell of sesame oil keep longer when you eat.

It tastes very good when I used the method of my Dad. I have eaten Nissin "出前一丁" Ramen Noodle with Soup Base & Sesame Oil since I was young. There's nothing change not just the packaging but also its flavor. For price, It's reasonable that the big size noodles for just $.59. I ate it at 7:05AM this morning, and I felt hungry at 2:15PM. For health, I would say I don't feel hungry very fast since it's high calories and high fat. It's the highest amount of calories and fat I have tried in my experiment. Today...
A busy week starts from today, it lets me remember the topic about "fear Monday" in our class, so many exams come in this week. So, I wake up early to make my breakfast and come to the De Anza library to start typing my blog. Today, I ate a bag of MAMA Oriental Style Instant Noodles (Chand Clear Soup) which is made in Thailand for my breakfast. I didn't add any other ingredients so it's total original. I didn't cook it in cookware, and I just put the noodles and seasonings into a bowl and pour about 360cc boiled water. After that, I covered it with a plate and waited for three minutes. And done!

It looks like Ho Fan Vermicelli, but it tastes totally different because it's more elastic. For price, it's easy to make that you will save your time since you don't need to cook it. It is cheap for costs only $.49 but the size of the bag of this instant noodles as you see in the picture. So, I think I will feel hungry very fast. It tastes good but a little but disappointed is the health part. For health, it contain a little bit amount of cholesterol and the content of sodium is quite high if I consider its size. What I found is that the soup of MAMA brand series is very thick, maybe that's the reason why its amount of sodium is so high. The noodles soup is delicious. However, it may be not suitable for someone who can't absorb too many salt.

  5. 'Bah Mee Yok' which are also egg noodles, but are green from the ingredient f pandanus leaf.
  6. 'Gao Lao'. Perhaps you'd like to try the meat and all side dishes, but you don't care for noodes. It is common for the Thais to order this way also. Just order 'Gao Lao' and 'Khao Plao' or a dish of plain rice. You'll be served a bowl of everything in the broth except the noodles. This is most commonly ordered in beef noodle shops.

This weekend, I tried two kind of instant noodles from different brands and different countries. For Saturday, I tried Unif TUNG-I Instant Bean Vermicelli Tong Tsai Flavor (Bean Thread) which is made in Taiwan for my dinner, and I also added some lettuce on the topping. For Sunday, I tried MAMA Oriental Style Instant Noodles Clear Soup which is made in Thailand for my breakfast, and I also added some peas, carrots and lettuce on the topping. These two kinds of instant noodles/vermicelli taste very good. The taste of Unif TUNG-I Instant Bean Vermicelli is very light, but the MAMA Oriental Style Instant Noodles Clear Soup is rich. Both of them are very absorbed that means the soup will be quite fast absorbed by the noodles/vermicelli. So, you should eat as fast as you can after being cooked especially the second one, the rice noodles will be soft or mashy very quick. But totally, I like both of them. For part of price, I think the first one is worth it even through the packaging looks not so good, but the size is moderate. The seond one is common, but I think the size is too small. However, I sure you will want to eat one more after you have one no matter its size problem or taste, you will be addicted. For health, the nutrition fact, both of them are accaptable. Especially the first one, it's very low calories and fat that is the healthiest one I have tried in my experiment. For the second one, it's very convenient to make because it just like the process of cup noodles that you just need to put noodles and seasoning into a bowl, add one and half cups of boiling water, and cover for three minutes and then the delicious noodles is ready to serve. However, there is a little blemish for the second one is, it contain a little amount of cholesterol.

Do you know why the bean vermicelli usually low calories and low fat? The answer is obvious because what ingredients it made from is green bean. It's nice for Fridays that the rhythm of life calms down, and I can lie down on the bed for a long time even my eyes has already opened. However, I woke up finally, and I drove to Marina Grocery to buy some food such as instant noodles for my experiment this week. After I back home, I cook a bag of MAMA Hot & Spicy Oriental Style Instant Noodles which is a product of Thailand by Thai President Foods Public Co., Ltd. for my first meal at 2:45pm today. I added some lettuce on the topping, but its color changed to orange by the soup. I want to thumb it since it is delicious.

I have tried the MAMA brand instant noodles in my hometown, but I had tried this one yet before. Thanks the experiment that I can have chance to try different instant noodles. For taste, The soup is not so spicy even though the color of soup in the picture above is reddish orange. The noodle is very thick that looks like udon noodles. I am the one who likes Thai food very much especially Thai soup. The soup of this kind of instant noodles is delicious and actually it is not so spicy. I like the vegetable flakes which with the dried Shiitake mushroom, dried leek and dried cabbage inside the soup powder. The price is ten cents more expensive than Nissan series, but I think it is worth it after I have considered the taste part and the health part. Usually, it is high calories and high fat for spicy flavored instant noodles, but this one isn't. Compare with the Nissin Spicy flavor instant noodles, it's just half of the amount of calories and fat of the Nissin's. Also, The content of sodium is acceptable.

This morning, I tried another brand of beef flavor instant noodles for my breakfast. It's Unif TUNG-I Instant Spicy Beef Flavor Noodles which is made in Vietnam. I added some lettuce and a piece of turkey ham on the topping. I ate it at 7:05 am, and I felt hungry at 12:50 pm. I feel very disappointed about the noodles that the feeling of "soy-sauce-soup" came back. I just ate half of the bowl showed in the picture above, maybe I just finished the lettuce and the piece of turkey ham. Finally, I just throw the rest of noodles I couldn't finished into the rubbish bin.

The part of nutrition fact may be the only one part I can accept it. However, the soup is quite oily. For price, the size of the bag of instant noodles is fairly small even it looks like so cheap for only $.5. So, I just give two stars for the price part. For taste, as what I said on the top, I feel very disappointed about it. Even through the words of the packaging say, "Spicy Beef Flavor", I totally can't taste any about "Spicy" and "Beef Flavor". For the attached ingredients, there are some dried beef cubes, dried green onions and dried smashed carrots inside, but I don't feel good about it. The noodles seems to be fried and it's lack of elasticity that is too soft to eat. I think I will not but this kind of instant noodles again. Actually, I just want to give only half of one star for its taste.

This morning, I try another beef soup flavor instant noodles. Today, I cooked Sau Tao Ho Fan Beef Soup Flavored for my breakfast. I also put some Tsoi Sum on the topping. I don't know why I like Ho Fun so much that when I go to Chinese restaurant for noodles, I always order Vermicellis Ho Fan. Moreover, I found that if you want your instant noodles taste the best way and you also want to add other ingredients such as vegetable, meat or eggs, you should cook each one separately. For example, if you want to add some vegetable, you should boiled the vegetable first and then put it on the top of the instant noodles which you cooked. Don't put all the ingredients and noodles together in the cookware. Otherwise, the flavor of the soup will be changed and the noodles become too soft or mashy which look like overcooked.

I go to supermarket usually weekends, and I find that there is no single sale for Sau Tao brand instant noodles series, that means you can't buy only one bag of their instant noodles, you just can buy a package that about five bags in one. So, if I divide the price into five bags, one bag costs $.598, approximately to $.6. I think it's valuable because the size for one bag is big. For taste, it's the best one that I have tried in beef soup flavor. The soup is delicious just like the original beef soup. It's not like the ones I tried last time which tasted like soy sauce soup. One blemish thing is, you should eat as soon as possible after it was cooked because vermicelli Ho Fan is shorter for keep than noodles. For health, The part of calories and fat is not so high, all things are acceptable except for the cholesterol part.

Since I did my homework till midnight, I totally forgot to have dinner last night. When I woke up this morning, I felt extremely hungry, so I cooked a bag of Nissin Instant Noodles Beef Flavor for my breakfast. When I was cooking the noodles, my elder sister said that she also wanted to eat but just a little. So, I made the noodles into two bowls, and I put some chicken wings, and some cilantro on the topping of my bowl, but not my sister's because she doesn't like the smell of it.

The price is $.59 as same as other Nissin flavor, I think the price is value because it can divide into two bowls and it's okay full for my sister and me. I ate it at 7:00AM this morning, and I felt hungry after 12:ooPM. For health, it's high calories, high fat and high amount of sodium. Also, it doesn't contain any vitamins which can help us to absorb nutrition. That's the reason that why I give only one star. For taste, usually I would not choose beef flavor when I am wandering at the instant noodles columns in the supermarket. I think all kinds of beef flavor instant noodles are the same taste. What I mean is, there's no difference or any special between different brands. For the Nissin one, I still don't taste any beef flavor in the soup similar to other brands. I just think the "soy sauce soup". However, I think I would try more to find some new brand beef flavor instant noodles via my experiment.

Today is a gloomy day that I can get a smile without any sunshine. I have no mood prepare my beakkfast, so I just take a cup noodles to school and make it in cafeteria. Today, my breakfast is Nissin Cup Noodles with Shrimp Picante Style. I ate it at 8:15am, and I felt hungry at 11:50am. I don't know why each time when I eat cup noodles in US, my homesick reveals without control. I miss my hometown and flavour of cup noodles. Yeah, even the same brand of Nissin cup noodles. The price is cheap for just $.33, but I felt hungry very fast. For health, the content of iron and sodium is acceptable, but I suggest people don't eat more than two this kind of cup noodles per day. Also, the worst part is it contains some cholesterol that we need to consider. I like the dried shrimp and the smashed herb inside, it smells good. After cooking in microwave, it tastes better. I remember the first I tries Nissin cup noodles in US and that time, I didn't microwave it and I just ate half of the cup noodles, and finally I threw it to the rubbish bin because I thought there should be something with that cup noodles. Why tastes like that? After that, I realize that there's nothing with that cup noodles, the feeling is because the taste is different from what I ate from my hometown. So, when I have been living here, I must microwave it before I eat, otherwise I would see a lot of bubbles flowing in the soup and I don't want to eat.

Nissin cup noodles, which I tried in my hometown, the packaging and the taste is totally different. they are made in Hong Kong, the noodles size is bigger than the one made in USA. Also, the soup is more concentrated that I don't leave any in the cup containe.
Since my homesick, I found some pictures of Hong Kong product Nissin cup noodles. Moreover, I found that the packaging of Nissin cup noodles has been changed. I show it from the video clip. Nowadays, for Hong Kong's, Nissin cup noodles can be microwaved, the idea changed and be different from the past. Wow...I really miss the flavor..is it the same?

Weekend...
I try to taste instant noodles from different countries. So for this weekend, I tried two kinds of Korean bowl noodles. For Saturday, I ate PALDO Kimchi Bowl Noodles for my lunch. It's very spicy, but I finished all the soup in the bowl. For Sunday, I tried the same brand but different flavor, it's called PALDO Hot & Spicy Bowl Noodles. It's more spicy than the one I tried on Saturday. I nearly gat a cry when I was eating the noodles. However, I like spicy food since I want to this exciting feeling! I think almost Korean instant noodles are spicy flavor and kimchi flavor.

These two kinds of instant bowl noodles taste very good, escpecially the first one, the soup is ichiban, it tastes spicy with a little bit sour that just like Thailand spicy & sour soup. It's very delicious and increase my appetite. Also, the ingredient of both bowl noodles are similiar except the soup, they both include some dried green onion, dried carrot and some small pieces of dried egg. I like the dired egg very much. They are both $.79, and the size of the bowl noodles is quite small. However, I would say they are not good for health since they both contain the amount od cholesterol. Moreover, both parts of sodium are high, and we shouldn't consume more than one these kinds of instant bowl noodles per day.

Since I tried Korean kimchi flavor instant noodles this weekend, let me tell you something about kimchi...
Kimchi, also spelled gimchi, kimchee, or kim chee, is traditional Korean fermented dishes made of vegetables with varied sensonings. It's most commonly made with napa cabbage and other vegetables such as radish, green onion, chive, and cucumber.
Northern regions tend to have longer winters compared to the southern regions of Korea. Kimchi from the northern parts of Korea tend to have less salt as well as less red chilli and usually do not have brined seafood for sensoning. Northern kimchi often has a watery consistency.
There are main eight types of Kimchi: Baechu Kimchi, Baek Kimchi, Bossam Kimchi, Chonggak Kimchi, Dong Chimi, Ggakdugi, Nabak Kimchi and Yeolmumul Kimchi.
