Problem/Issue:
I thought the guy who invented instant noodles was a supermen in my childhood even though I didn't know who he was. But now, since my research, I know the guy, Ando, the founder of instant noodles. Nowadays, I still think that instant noodles are the most miraculous invention of the world. As I am an Asian and I live with my Chinese family, many people just like my mother who thinks that rice should be the main food of Asian and they can't live without rice. But I think I am the one who completely break with this tradition; I dislike eating rice which was dull and plain, also it let me recall my childhood with my grandmother. I looked like as a prisoner that my grandmother wouldn't allow me to eat anything if I hadn't had a bowl of rice. Maybe since the bad feeling of rice, I fall in love with noodles gradually.
From the article of YoungPost, people eat 87 billion servings of instant noodles a year-that's about 10 serving for every person in the world. Instant noodles become an indispensable part of lives of city folk. Since the appearance of instant noodles, our lives become more convenient that they help us to save our time as the primary purpose of instant noodles companies is "ready in just a few minutes", also they offer is many choices that we can choose different brands and special or local flavors with cheap prices. But in my mother's eye, all kind of instant noodles are harmful food. When I try to take apart a bag of instant noodles, she always murmurs at me that I would get cancer if I continue eating instant noodles. Is it really true? I don't think so. From a news article of my research, Styofoam, which is often used in instant noodles packaging, can cause cancer. Please notice that it doesn't mean that instant noodles cause cancer, the head of the source is the packaging! Aside from testing whether I am healthy or not eating instant noodles for 30 days. I also want to use this project to let people understand more about instant noodles. On my blog, I will introduce some history, culture and source of instant noodles. How they came from? Also, I will try many kinds of instant noodles produced by different countries, after that, I will give my comments or evaluation with some basic statistics of nutrition facts, how they taste and their price value. Furthermore, I will try to introduce how to cook a bowl of "Ichiban" -number-one instant noodles.
My goal for next 30 day is eating 30 kinds of instant noodles. The aim is to change the people who think instant noodles are harmful for their lives, so I want to prove that instant noodles actually can be a healthy food. To tell my mum, after consuming 30-day instant noodles, your daughter, I am still clever, healthy, and alive!
Experiment/Rules:
For the next 30 days, I must eat 30 kinds of instant noodles. I will record my experience and take photos about which instant noodles I eat. I will blog everyday in weekdays and condense in one entry about Saturdays and Sundays. I will collect some information such as nutrition fact of instant noodles. In the experiment, I won't limit myself to eat instant noodles for every meal, so I can eat it anytime during one day when I want it.
